Lyon Street
Lyon Street
This neglected 1904 Victorian in the heart of NOPA was thoughtfully restored and completely updated, getting a modern overhaul while preserving the original architectural character of the home. The property’s most recent configuration was as two apartments over a garage, both dated and uninhabitable spaces in need of full renovation. Through the redesign, the Eastwood team was able to excavate beneath the house, creating a new ground floor unit while connecting the upstairs spaces into one grand residence.
Upon entry, the scale of the home makes an immediate impact with soaring 11+ foot ceilings and expansive folding glass doors that almost disappear into the wall. The eye is drawn out to the natural greenery of the backyard, which becomes an extension of the main level living space. Light oak floors, modern grey cabinetry, and natural Carrara stonework unify the elegant main living level. Adding square footage and function, the new basement level is a unique self-contained suite with private entry and large living/media room with second expansive folding NanaWall system. Four additional bedrooms and large entertainment-ready backyard complete this one-of-a-kind residence that beautifully blends traditional and modern aesthetics.
